Mostagedda

Guy Brunton directed several seasons of fieldwork on behalf of the British Museum in the region of Mostagedda and Matmar in 1927–1931. At Mostagedda, he investigated in two seasons (1927–1929) both cemeteries and settlement contexts dating to a wide range of periods, including the predynastic period.

Archaeological activity :

First season: 1927–1928; Guy Brunton was accompanied by his wife, Winifred M. Brunton, as well as Oliver Humphrys Myers and Henri Bach.

Second season. 1928–1929; Guy Brunton was accompanied again by his wife, and by Laurence Patrick Kirwan.
