Share your data

The aim of Ponda is to give access to wide and comprehensive datasets, as well as accurate and up-do-date information. If you spot an error within the data relating to an existing entry, a missing reference, or if you have additional information you are willing to share, we would be grateful if you could report it by emailing us. Feel free to do the same if you have additional information; we fully acknowledge any help provided, unless you wish to remain anonymous.

The primary goal of Ponda is not to share random lists of artefacts, nor to compile objects that are considered "best of" their types or most characteristic. On the contrary, we want to create comprehensive lists - as many artefacts of a type as possible, all the material from a given site, etc. It is of prime importance to relate them to their archaeological provenance, current and past collection history, and thorough lists of references. When an object without archaeological provenance is recorded, thorough checks should be conducted to ascertain that it is not already recorded as an object without a known current location, and vice versa.

If you have a dataset that you think would fit in nicely within Ponda and wish to make it fully accessible for all to see and study, please let us know. For entries created in this manner, you will be credited as the author of the notice.
