Institutions Copyright Information

Ponda gathers data about artefacts that are located in a large number of museums around the world. Each country and institution have their own approach to copyright and set of laws and rules related to copyright. We have decided to copy below the copyright and right of use of images from all websites used in Ponda, where such information is available. In some instances, we had to adapt the way of crediting images to fit with the design of the Ponda database. We would like to emphasize that all the artefacts listed in Ponda are in the public domain and are not in themselves protected by any copyright law, which can only apply to the photographs of the objects.
