Decoration

Only part of the decoration has been published. It shows two different, vertical plants with two pairs of parallel angular designs inbetween. The plant motif on the left consists of a long stem with straight oblique leaves on both sides. To the right, the plant has a similar stem, but the leaves (or branches?) are grouped in pairs and have an angular, V-shape. It seems that a third plant motif was painted to the right: it is impossible to determine its exact shape, but it may have been similar to either one of the other two plants.

A concentric series of parallel, vertical lines is painted inside the rim.

Brunton 1937: pl. XXXIV, 24.
