Decoration

The remaining decoration consists mostly of short strokes with varying orientation; remains of the tip of a triangle (?), and of a possible boat or animal, depending on which way is considered to be up. An animal is perhaps more likely, as it would have a short tail and four short legs ending in small dots; it would have a protuberant belly. The head-part would be missing. There are remains of three oval (?) shapes, one with a double outline, and all filled with oblique parallel lines. Not enough of the decoration is preserved to propose a certain identification of the painted motifs.

Brunton 1937: pl. XXXVIII, 4.
Payne 1993: fig. 30, 425.
