Tomb b78 was dated to before SD 56 (Randall-McIver & Mace 1902: 19) and to Naqada IIB (Hendrickx 1989: II, 294).

Material : Greywacke

Preservation : Almost complete

The tip of one of the horn is broken off.

Description

Rhomboid palette with a horns emblem ending in bird heads on top of one of the extremities; the opposite end is rounded. The palette is angular at the ends of the shorter axis.

 

Object use

The palette probably has slight hollowing in the central area but the available documentation is inconclusive.
