Tomb b199 was dated to SD 40–64 (Randall-McIver & Mace 1902: 22) and to Naqada IIB (Hendrickx 1989: II, 301).

Material : Greywacke (incised)

Preservation : Almost complete

Broken and repaired, a small fragment is missing.

Description

The rhomboid palette has inconspicuous angular projections at the ends of the shorter axis and has pointed extremities.

 

Decoration

Intersective ellipses are roughly incised near to one extremity.

Object use

The palette has been used, causing on both faces shallow hollowing in the central area. There is also pitting.
