Munich, Staatliches Museum Ägyptischer Kunst, ÄS 6759.
Date : 19th–20th century AD
This object, which is not a boat model per se but rather an animal with a hollowed out body in which passangers can take place, does not belong to any known Predynastic or Early Dynastic craft productions. The number and location of the perforations are typical of modern forgeries characterised by the presence of a vaulted shelter made with strings of vegetal fiber. Such shelters are often combined with a hull shaped like an animal and/or decorated with an animal head.

Description
This crocodile-shaped boat model contains a figurine sitting at the stern with its arms crossed over the chest. Three smaller figurines with bird's beak-like faces, considered to be "mummified" according to some sources, are at its feet. The main figure may have been seated under a palanquin attached to the boat by means of the perforations in the sides of the model. The head of the animal is detailed enough so the mouth, eyes and possibly ears are visible.
