Description

The two bowls are placed at each extremity of a horizontal bar that has a semi-circular section and a flat base. Decoration is limited to the interior of the bowls. One of the bowls sits perfectly upright, while the other is bent toward the outside.

Decoration

The two bowls are decorated in a similar manner. Two downturned, crosshatched triangles are painted on the axis of the object and face one another. Between them are two downturned triangles filled with chevrons that also face one another. In at least one of these triangles, a narrow gap was left between two chevrons.

Object use

Black residue (soot) at the bottom of the bowls may indicate that the vessel was used as a lamp.
