Small chips on rim. At the time the object was photographed for Murray's 1911 publication, gold attachements “in the form of snakes were connected with four gold chains hich meat in a single ring at the other end” were present; they were also described in the 1922 sales catalogue. It is unclear if this gold ornament was original.

According to Sotheb'ys sale catalogue of the MacGregor collection, this object was "found at Abydos".
