Description
Seated frog-shaped stone vessel. The body is almost as wide as it is long. The overall profile of the vessel, when seen from the top, is very round. The opening of vessel has a rim with a small lip; it sits in middle of the back. Two lug handles are carved out beneath the rim on the animal's sides, at the midpoint of the vessel's height.
Decoration
The incised front and back legs of the frog are preserved. The back legs are unusually small and round; they do not reach the bottom of the vessel but instead form a small circle on the back face. The front legs are of typical size and shape for stone frog-shaped vessels and reach the bottom of the vessel. The eyes are represented by slots for inlays still well-preserved. Eyes face sideways.
