Date : Naqada II–III (?)
Petrie (1920: pl. XLIV.92T) dated tomb 283 to SD 38, which corresponds to a Naqada I date. Hendrickx (1989 vol. II: 327) dates the tomb Naqada IIIA2 on limited evidence but an earlier date is possible.

Description
The rhomboid palette is rounded at the ends of the shorter axis and has rounded extremities.
Object use
The palette probably has slight hollowing in the central area but the available documentation is inconclusive.
