The find context and the contents of tomb U280 have not been published. The palette is dated to SD 33 by Petrie (1921: pl. LVIII.91R), which corresponds to Naqada I.

Description
Rhomboid palette attributed by Petrie (1921: pl. LVIII) to type 91R. This type of palette is rounded at the ends of the shorter axis and has rounded extremities. The palette probably had a perforation next to one extremity.
