Comments

Elise J. Baumgartel (1970, pl. XIV) had associated this palette with tomb N324 at Naqada, an error later corrected by Joan C. Payne (1990, 184). Tomb N324 at Naqada is not described in the preserved excavation manuscript notebooks, unlike tomb Q324, in which a rhomboid palette was indeed found, below the elbow of the skeleton. It is most likely this palette.
