Description

Waster from failed firing process, with burnt  matter and surface.

Decoration

Horizontal line painted at rim. Remains of two downturned triangles filled with chevrons. The best-preserved triangle contains a series of four chevrons separated from another series of seven chevrons by an empty space. At its tip, the triangle is connected to the tip of an upturned triangle filled with chevrons, of which only one is clearly visible. The triangle to the left contains a series of at least three chevrons separated from another series of eight chevrons by an empty space.

At least another vessel with similar designs was present in the assemblage recovered from HK59A; it has a different diameter to this vessel.
