Date : Naqada IA–IIB

General range of C-ware production

Material : Nile silt (Painted)

Preservation information :

Two mended sherds with heavily eroded surface; the paint is lost and the original decoration can only be partly seen as a ghost; 11% of rim preserved.

Decoration

Remains of one downturned triangle filled with a small group of chevrons that are separated from antother, larger group of chevrons by an empty space. At its tip, the triangle is connected to the tip of a smaller upturned triangle filled with chevrons. No horizontal line is visible at the rim, although this may be due to the poor preservation of the sherd.
