The decorative space is framed by two thick horizontal bands: one below the rim, the other around the bottom.  Below the band at the top are three parallel, unevenly horizontal lines painted above five rows of upturned, crosshatched triangles. The three top rows consist of small triangles, the two lower rows of large triangles. The base is coated white.

Comments

Quibell (1905) listed the provenance of this artefact as Saghel el-Baglia, without suggesting that this provenance had been used erroneously, instead of Gebel el-Tarif. This is however likely the case. See de Morgan (1896, 1897).
