Decoration

Five large, downturned, crosshatched triangles are painted along the rim. Two of them are connected at their top corner, while one triangle overlaps over another one. There are uneven spaces between the others. The bottom of the inerior is coated white.

Quibell (1905) listed the provenance of this artefact as Saghel el-Baglia, without suggesting that this provenance had been used erroneously, instead of Gebel el-Tarif. This is however likely the case. See de Morgan (1896, 1897).
