Decoration
A concentric line is painted on the rim. Twenty vertical lines that extend from this line and join at the bottom of the bowl are unevenly spaced. The areas between these lines are filled with horizontal, parallel lines on six occasions, two of which are contiguous. The remaining vertical lines are grouped between these narrow triangles with the following pattern (starting from the double-triangle, going counterclockwise): three lines, two lines, no line, two lines, two lines.

The drawing produced by Quibell (1905) is inacurate. Quibell (1905) listed the provenance of this artefact as Saghel el-Baglia, without suggesting that this provenance had been used erroneously, instead of Gebel el-Tarif. This is however likely the case. See de Morgan (1896, 1897).
