Description

The bowl stands on a circular, hollow foot.

Decoration

A continuous series of downturned triangles was painted along the rim, of which five are preserved. Three are filled with crosshatching and two with oblique parallel lines. On the exterior, the base is coated white.

Comments

Quibell (1905) listed the provenance of this artefact as Saghel el-Baglia, without suggesting that this provenance had been used erroneously, instead of Gebel el-Tarif. This is however likely the case. See de Morgan (1896, 1897).
