Decoration

Four large, downturned triangles filled with chevrons occupy most of the decorative space. At the tip of each triangle is a doube zigzag that connects to a double concentric line at the bottom of the bowl. A narrow gap was left between each triangle; in two instances, on opposite sides, a plant motif rises from the outer concentric line and reaches the rim; each plant consists of a long, vertical stem with short, straight leaves on either side.

A vertical, rectangular area seems to be painted between two triangles; it may however be damages that take the appearance of paint on the photograph.
