Two hippopotamuses face each other on one side of the vessel, and a crocodile face left on the other. The incisors of the hippopotamuses protrude from their mouths, and their ears, eyes, and nostrils appear as small protuberances on their heads. Their feet are represented by small dots. The reptile occupies nearly half of the surface of the bowl, and is depicted in top view with flexed legs ending with four(?)-toed claws. The bodies of the animals are filled with chevrons.
