Surface damaged at the rim, with loss of paint and slip. On the interior surface, the painted decoration is often only visible as a clear ghost.
Decoration
The decoration consists of four vertical compartments painted between a continuous zigzag on the rim and a concentric line at the bottom. Two of the panels, on opposite sides of the vessel, are filled with series of nine parallel horizontal zigzags (one of them has an additional zigzag line that only occupies half the width of the compartment). The other two compartments are filled with fourteen and thirteen horizontal lines of polka dots. At the top, between each compartment, is a zigzag line. The concentric line at the bottom contains five straight lines that joint at the centre.

The height is quite irregular, ranging from 6.8 to 7.4 cm. Pencil inscripition "Bolton" and ink inscription H45 (c) on base.
