Comments
Gaston Maspero excavated at Gebelein in 1885; it is not certain whether this vessel comes from his excavation at the site. It was donated to the Louvre Museum by Marianne Maspero, née Rusen (1916-2013), the wife of Maspero's grandson Pierre Théodore Gaston Maspero (1907-1979).
