Comments
The Ashmolean sherd painted pattern differs from that of the drawing published in the excavation report (Mond & Myers 1937: pl. XXVII, 44b). Since a sherd ("293/1457") of the same type was analysed at the Courtauld Institute of Arts (Mond & Myers 1937: 189), we suppose that two similar sherds came from the same tomb. Whether both sherds belonged to the same vessel cannot be determined.
