Semaineh
Semaineh is located in the area of "Diospolis Parva", a concession excavated under Petrie's general direction (see also Abadiya and Hiw), in 1898–1899.
Several cemeteries were excavated, and the work was also led by David Randall-MacIver and Arthur Mace at some locations. Henrietta Lawes drew pottery while Hilda Petrie and Beatrice Orme drew marks on the pottery and numbered finds and skeletal remains.
Cemetery H contained predynastic graves excavated under the direction of A. Mace. Accoring to the surviving notebook in the Petrie Museum, at least 135 graves were recorded.
