Girgis Gabriel
Girgis Gabriel was a Coptic antiquities dealer based in Qena, active between ca. 1874–1930. Him and his brother Abn en-Nur Gabriel, were the main dealers in Qena who also owned a shop in Luxor. Several family members were involved in the business, including his son Todros Girgis Gabriel and his grandson Albert Tawdros; there is also a family relation to Sadiq Girgis Ebed. The name Girgis appears as "Ghirgas" on the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston) catalogue; Gabriel is sometimes spelled "Gabrial" et "Gubriân". Not to be mistaken for "Mashriki Girgis". Andreas Girgis, a dealer at Medinet el-Fayoum, also likely comes from Qena.
