Francis Cabot Lowell ( 07.01.1855 - 06.03.1911 )
Francis Cabot Lowell was a US Federal judge; he was elected a member of the American Antiquarian Society on 24.04.1895 and may have personnaly collected artefacts gifted to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, after the death of his widow Cornelia Prime Lowell (05.08.1859–17.01.1922). He may also have inherited objects collected in Egypt by his grandfather's brother John Lowell Jr (11.05.1799–04.03.1836); the collection of the latter was mostly, or perhaps entirely, given to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, following the death of his younger brother Francis Cabot Lowell Jr (1803–1874, grandfather of the eponymous judge).
