Cornelia Prime  Lowell  ( 05.08.1859  -  17.01.1922 )

Cornelia Prime Lowell was married to US Federal judge Francis Cabot Lowell (07.01.1855–06.03.1911). Several artefacts were passed to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, following her death. It is not clear who collected these pieces, but her husband, an elected member of the American Antiquarian Society, may have purchased them. Alternatively, they may be artefacts collected in Egypt by John Lowell Jr (11.05.1799–04.03.1836); upon his untimely death, his collection passed to his brother Francis Cabot Lowell (1803–1874, grandfather of the eponymous judge). Most, or perhaps all of his collection was gifted to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, after the death of the latter; it is not impossible that some smaller objects remained in the family.
