Adolphe  Reinach  ( 12.01.1887  -  30.08.1914 )

A French archaeologist and Egyptologist, Adolphe Reinach excavated at Coptos for the Société française d'archéologie, together with Raymond Weill and André Martinaud. A number of the artefacts unearthed by A. Reinach were housed in Lyon, at the Musée Guimet and the Musée des Beaux Arts (today presumably all grouped at the latter location). A. Reinach was killed in action at the beginning of WWI.
