Preservation information :
Eyes inlays lost. Large amount of damage to top and one side. Lug handles and rim, if ever present, are lost.
Description
Remains of a stone frog-shaped vessel. The top and one side of the vessel are missing. The body of the frog is very long. The eyes look upwards; it is unclear if they were meant to hold inlays. The rim and lug handles, if ever present, have been lost to damage. The vessel much more hollow than other known examples.
Decoration
The eyes are represented by two seemingly small carved depressions; they may have once held inlays but these are not preserved. The mouth is indicated by a longitudinal live carved at the tip of the head. The legs are incised narrowly against the side of the vessel; it is unclear if toes were also once carved. Other decoration, if ever present, is lost.
