The tips of three teeth are broken, and a fragment is missing from the back of the figurine.

Description

The comb features a figurine of a hippopotamus carved along its top edge. Originally, the comb had 15 closely spaced teeth.

Decoration

The hippopotamus is depicted with a square muzzle, and its ears and eyes are represented by small protrusions on its head. A carved line highlights the rounded form of its lower jaw. The hippopotamus is characterized by a prominent belly and short legs.
