The palette was probably reused at Maadi. Dated after the general range of rhomboid palettes production.

Only one extremity is preserved, with the tip broken off.
Description
Fragment of a rhomboid palette, probably with rounded ends of the shorter axis.
Decoration
The silhouette of animal is incised near the tip. It is a quadruped that faces toward the extremity of the palette: it has a rounded belly and short legs, as well a small, upturned tail; the head is quite angular. It may represent a dog, and a line running over its body and extending behind it may indicate that it is attached to a lead.
Object use
The palette has been used, causing hollowing in the central area.

Comments
It is not currently possible the determine if this fragment belonged to the same palette as fragment PAL-0234, which also bears incised animals.
