Preservation information :

Only one extremity is preserved, with the tip broken off.

Description

Fragment of a rhomboid palette, probably with rounded ends of the shorter axis.

Decoration

The silhouette of animal is incised near the tip. It is a quadruped that faces toward the extremity of the palette: it has a rounded belly and short legs, as well a small, upturned tail; the head is quite angular. It may represent a dog, and a line running over its body and extending behind it may indicate that it is attached to a lead.

Object use

The palette has been used, causing hollowing in the central area.
