Dated after the context and the objects from tomb 15 (Firth 1915: 98).

Material : Greywacke (incised)

Preservation : Complete, repaired

Description

The rhomboid palette is angular at the ends of the shorter axis and has pointed extremities.

 

Decoration

The palette is decorated on one side with an intricate, incised design. It may represent a man with a bird-like head. See Basch & Gorbea (1968. Estudios de arte rupestre nubio, 129—145) for comparison in rock-art at Khor Zurqan.
