Chips and salt damage at the rim. Green discolouration on the paint, both on the exterior and rim.

Description

Only the upper part of the interior rim is slipped and polished.

Decoration

On the outside, a continuous band decorated with parallel vertical strokes is painted below the rim. A continuous series of seven downturned trianlges filled with chevrons hangs from this band; below is a series of seven, smaller upturned triangles, filled with horizontal lines, rising from the bottom of the vessel. On the interior, the narrow part that is slipped is entirely decorated with polka dots. The base may have been decorated but this remains unclear.
