The decoration is only visible as a ghost of the lines on the shiny polished background. Most of the surface, especially of the inside and of the base, is heavily eroded.

Remains of at least fine parallel donwturned chevrons or zigzag; on the right of the sherd are the possible remains of a couple of lines coming from the continuation of the zigzag or from another set of downturned chevrons.

The provenance is not certain, but it may come from Gebelein, perhaps from Farina's excavations carried out in 1930–1935.
