General range of C-ware production.

Material : Nile silt (Painted)

Preservation : Sherds

Decoration preservation : Mostly faded

Preservation information :

Two non-mending sherds. The current state of both sherds gives the impression that the lower part of the interior surface was not slipped, but this is likely do to their preservation in the ground.

Decoration

The remains of what was likely a downturned triangle filled with parallel vertical lines hangs from the rim on one sherd. More clearly visible are horizontal and oblique bands filled with small polka dots in single or double rows. In the upper part of the second sherd are ghost traces of three horizontal lines on the left and other lines on the right, possibly chevrons.
