The decorative space is separaed in two similar halves by two vertical plants on opposite sides of the vessel. These two plants consist of a long vertical stem with short leaves on either. The top of the plants reach the lip of the vessel; below them are, in each case, two groups of downturned chevrons. Between the plant stems are four vertical panels, two on each side of the vessel; they are filled mostly with downturned triangles filled with chevrons below the rim and four to five groups of donwturned chevrons below. One panel consists of parallel horizontal zigzags. Each group is made of 5 to 8 or 9 parallel motifs, except those nearer the base, which consist of four parallel motifs.
