Decoration
The decoration of the vessel is quite irregular. A large, crosshatched area filles about half of the vessel; there is a narrow band along its edge, filled with single chevrons and parallel oblique lines. Several smaller triangular(ish), crosshatched areas hang from the rim, asn well as a series of downturned chevrons. Three designs are painted in the area left empty. One can be recognised as a quadruped. It faces right, has a short tail, and its body is filled with crosshatchting. Identitifying the intended species is not easy. It may be an antelope, a donkey, or even a dog. The lack of evidently visible horns or ears may suggest that the latter is more likely. Below its legs is a possible vegetal motif, with another one to the left.
